Sidewalk medallion, a brass figure of a beaver chewing on an Harvard "H." During the construction of Building 68, one of the project staff managers who was a Harvard alumnus pulled a small hack and embedded a brass "H" in the sidewalk at the corner of Ames and Main Streets. MIT Facilities staff members created a brass "H" being gnawed by a beaver and embedded it in the sidwalk in front of Building 10 in Killian Court. All students entering and graduates leaving MIT would have to "walk all over Harvard." The hack was removed on orders from the Administration.
