A current faculty member nominates "The wood carving with the Project Athena emblem that is now hanging in one of the Athena clusters.

"The stylized version of an Athenian coin was chosen as the Athena logo in 1983. The carved wood version of it hung in one of Athena's earliest clusters and was moved to its current location (in another cluster) when that earlier cluster was closed. It is an artifact that was often used in photos that were part of descriptions of Project Athena."
