An alumnus of the class of 1973 nominates Muriel Cooper, for whom he worked in the summer of 1970. Professor Cooper began at MIT in Design Services and eventually became a faculty member in the Media Lab, cofounded and directed MIT's Visible Language Workshop and created some of MIT's iconic images, including the MIT Press colophon.

An alumna of the class of 1988 adds, "Brilliant convener and maker of visually literate work - at CAVS - as a forerunner of the media lab."
