kaltura: Collaborative video editing

by Allan Doyle last modified 2008-01-21 20:42

kaltura is trying to "wikify" video editing...

From kaltura - "Think of this technology as a form of video-wiki software that is integrated into the MediaWiki platform, allowing users to add collaborative video players that enable all users to add and edit images, sounds, diagrams, animations and movies in the same manner as they do today with text."

Digital storytelling is not always about a single voice telling a single story. It sounds like kaltura might be the beginnings of a new way to let multiple people work together to create a video story.

An example is their Tompkins Square Park video.

This seems like a promising idea!
