Work is underway at the Museum on plans for a major exhibition to celebrate the Institute’s 150th birthday in 2011. “MIT 150″ is designed to capture the Institute’s unique qualities—past, present and future—by involving the entire community in the interpretation and presentation of its most treasured objects. These artifacts will show what’s special about MIT—what makes its environment so distinctive and so productive of innovative solutions for the world’s challenges.
Please consider making a gift that aids the Museum to create this extraordinary showcase, which will include both an aesthetically stunning presentation of 150 especially meaningful artifacts on display in the Museum and a virtual exhibition that will offer thousands of objects nominated and discussed by hundreds of people throughout the MIT community. You can give online now, click here to visit the MIT Giving site. If you would like to make a gift via check, please mail it to:
