An MIT staff member writes, "This is a picture of a hack that appeared in the spring of 2008. The hackers turned the steps between buildings E15 and E17 into a waterfall - the outcome was really cool."

  • This project is fantastic and beautiful, but it’s not really a hack. A bunch of sources (e.g. http://tinyurl.com/yjrb2ss) attribute it to Yuliya Bentcheva.

  • I agree with Joshua. Hacks are ingenious works of public art, but not all ingenious public art works are hacks. Nevertheless, this is still very cool.

    For those who didn’t see it in real life: it looked just as good as it does in the photos.
